Imaging Case of the Week 262 Answer

The lateral lumbar x-ray shows an incidental finding of L4 limbus vertebra.

A limbus vertebra is a developmental abnormality and is visible as a triangular well corticated bony fragment on the anterosuperior aspect of the vertebral body, usually in the lumbar region.
