32 year old man presented to ED with an asthma attack, on 3L O2. Arterial blood gas showed the following:

PH = 7.32

PO2 = 101  mmol/L

PCO2 = 48 mmol/L

HCO3 = 24 mmol/L

Na = 140 mmol/L

K = 3.4 mmol/L

Cl = 105 mmol/L

Lactate = 2.1 mmol/L

BSL = 5.2 mmol/L

Cr = 48 nmol/L
